Bedside history taking and clinical evaluation remains the backbone of clinical pediatrics. The third edition of “Clinical Evaluation of Newborns, Infants and Children” comprehensively covers a wide range of information in a clear and structured manner, that will help the pediatric trainees acquire bedside clinical examination skills in addition to the nuances of fluent communication. This book is divided into three sections and 26 chapters. The first section deals with history taking and general examination and encompasses chapters on communication with patients and caregivers, assessment of growth and development and general physical examination. The second section covers assessment of the newborn including examination at birth, in the postnatal ward and during routine evaluation in wards and clinics. The third section covers the details of systemic examination. The book also includes accessory chapters on ECG and pediatrics imaging which are an integral part of modern pediatric practice today.
